After years of litigated divorces, Michele saw what the courtroom process could do to families — the stress, the expense, the loss of control, and the lasting damage to relationships that parents still need to maintain long after the case is over. That experience shaped everything about how she practices today.

Michele chose Collaborative Divorce because she believes her clients deserve better.  Better than feeling like a bystander in their own case. She brings nearly 20 years of family law knowledge to every case — recognized by Michigan Super Lawyers, named a Top Women Attorney in Michigan by Hour Detroit, and honored as a Grand Rapids Business Journal Top 40 Under 40 — and uses that experience to guide clients with both skill and steadiness.

A Grand Rapids resident, Michele is deeply rooted in the community she serves, with a history of lending her time to organizations like CASA of Kent County, the Fulton Street Farmers Market, and the Heritage Hill Association, among others.
