Jennifer A. DeYoung
Jennifer DeYoung began her career as a law clerk for the Berrien County Circuit Court in 1996 and thereafter practiced for 22 years with the law firm Hann Persinger PC in Holland, Michigan before joining the law firm Cunningham Dalman PC in 2020. Jennifer practices primarily in West Michigan.
Jennifer has broad expertise in family law, handling divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, and adoptions. She has been doing Collaborative Divorce since 2014 and enjoys helping families through the difficult divorce process in the collaborative setting. Having practiced family law for many years, Jennifer appreciates the collaborative process not only because it provides an alternative to expensive contested divorce litigation but it also provides a team supported approach to finding cooperative resolutions for the needs of the family, both for the children and the couple.
Additionally, Jennifer serves as a mediator in family law cases in West Michigan.
She also serves as a Guardian Ad Litem for adults and minors in guardianship and conservatorship cases in Probate Court and as a Guardian Ad Litem for children in family law and custody cases.
Jennifer also assists with probate and trust administration and estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
