David VanMeurs
David VanMeurs has been a lifelong resident of West Michigan, growing up in Muskegon and moving to Grand Rapids as a young adult. He graduated from Calvin College (now Calvin University) in 1988 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Economics. He also graduated from Western Michigan University in 2018 with a Master's Degree in Social Work.
He has a long history as an owner or partner in a variety of businesses. In recent years, he has worked as a Case Manager at a local psychiatric hospital and also in his own private psychotherapy practice.
VanMuers completed the training to become certified as a Mental Health Professional or Coach in the Collaborative Divorce process in 2022. Since that time, he has been extensively involved in the local Collaborative Divorce chapter as well as at the state level. At the state level, he served as Secretary and currently as President of the Collaborative Professional Institute of Michigan.
He believes that married couples seeking to dissolve their marriage in a productive, future-oriented way that has an emphasis on co-parenting or co-grandparenting or for those who may not have children but are looking to move forward in a way that is non-adversarial, that Collaborative Divorce is the best option available.
Dave looks forward to connecting with you to explore if Collaborative Divorce is the best option for you and if he is able to help you and your spouse reach your common goals within divorce. For more information about David VanMeurs of Collaborative Divorce Professionals of West Michigan, please contact him here or call him directly at 616.260.9985.
